Phantoms

The work refers to the phenomenon of constant displacement of traditional tools that have been known for centuries by technological advances as a result of an increasingly automated process of production of material goods.
Phantoms is a comment on this trend. Just as in paleontology fossil records tell the story of past times, the outlines of tools against a thick layer of dust register the past of the factory production.
Tools found in the production floor were used as templatesmatrixes to create evidence-negatives. Another aspect of the work is its ephemeral nature: during several days of exposure, the installation made of dust naturally became increasingly blurred, thus finally putting the process of falling into oblivion to an end.
