Reactivation

For the duration of the SURVIVAL Art Review, a banner is placed on the façade of the Wallenberg- Pachaly palace, which used to be the seat of the Commerzbank before the second world war. It informs that the bank has reactivated its functioning in Wrocław. Using the form and style typical of advertising materials plaguing the Polish public space, Tomasz Domański encourages passers-by to visit SURVIVAL and invest in art. Apart from providing a clear statement about the quality and quantity of the ubiquitous ads, the work refers to unsuccessful compromises and (often) clumsy effects of cooperation between the worlds of art and business.
