The Sign

‘The Sign’ installation is a signpost showing the directions and distances to three Polish villages: Nadzieja (Hope) – 411km; Nadzieja (Hope) – 456km; Dobra Nadzieja (Good Hope) – 122km. The sign was placed in where a gunpowder depot used to be, which was hit by a lightning in 1749, causing one of the biggest blazes in the history of Wrocław.
