National Flag
Needlework is the pastime of our mothers and grandmothers. They spent all their lives making knitwear. A knitted mohair scarf referring to the national flag is inseparably connected with mohair berets, and it is hard to tell exactly where the beginning and end of this piece of work is. Are the berets made of an unravelled scarf, or is it the other way round? In my work, I comment on today’s reality, simultaneously asking questions about what culture we come from, what our parents have passed down to us, and what our interrelationships are.
