Next to a football pitch arranged by Łagowski, benches were assigned to teams according to the antagonism present in stadiums: the bench of the players who were ‘hosts’ bore the inscription ‘HOME TEAM’, the visitors’ – ‘FAGS’. Verbal aggression which accompanies football matches is more striking in Łagowski’s work due to its tangible character. Economical with the means of expression, referring only to the viewers’ semantic experiences, the Fags installation shows the stadium as a convergent lens which focuses the oppressive nature of everyday language.
