Hunting trophies and magnificent Turkish carpets used to be de rigueur elements of interior décor of aristocratic residencies. They were attributes of wealth and luxury, demonstrating that the head of the family was a powerful, courageous and resourceful man. Paweł Czekański combines the two elements – the wild boar’s hide has been shaven to display a Turkish ornament. The carpet now decorates the former drawing room in the Wallenberg-Pachaly palace, where time was spent with guests.
