The work from the EAT – SLEEP – REPEAT series depicts the chaos resulting from the daily routine during the pandemic. It shows a collision of shapeless, shadow-like silhouettes juxtaposed with the outlines of characters known from the digital world. In this moment of climax, we are no longer able to recognise what is real. The title of the work refers to a popular internet slogan encapsulating the mundane life during subsequent lockdowns, stripped of any diversions. The painting is therefore an abstract representation of expressive disturbances caused by the compulsion of routine.
