Dead Work

Dead Work is a comic fanzine – a collection of interviews conducted with artists, anarchists, trade unionists and theorists whose activity revolves around the notion of work: from precariousness of artist’s work to work in the material dimension. Illustrated by Piotr Macha, the interviews with people such as Rafał Jakubowicz, Mikołaj Iwański, Dominik Lejman may be freely reproduced by any visitor using a photocopier. Thus, Macha’s work is not only a thorough dissertation and an in-depth environmental study on the profession of artist in Poland, but also a commentary on the subject of seriality, copyrights and uniqueness / reproducibility of a work of art in the age of digitisation.
