The installation consists of a neon sign depicting a paving stone and a video essay on the subject of gentrification. The direct impulse behind the work was my and my friends’ situation just before the pandemic, when we lost our art studio due to gentrification processes in the Jeżyce district of Poznań. The video contains various footages, from interviews with activists and theorists researching gentrification and documenting the process of forceful removal of inhabitants of tenement houses, to tenants who have lost their flats and artists.
