Rounds All Quiet
Michał Kielan’s project is a “visual interview” with the venue and its guards. It was inspired by a notebook found in one of the corridors, which documented the course of the rounds made by the guards in the palace. Every day, the same description was entered: “Rounds all quiet.” The work photographically documents traces of changes to the place and its users, who were simultaneously witnesses to and products of the economic and political transformation of Poland. It is a visual story about using and wasting the potential of places and people.
