Hare and Hounds
[the entire area of the review; beginning in the yard with the sandpit in Włodkowica Street]
The idea of the action was to animate local children. The artist was inspired by the ambiguity of the place. Emotions indispensable to every game – joy, tensions, jealousy – bring back, in the form of a children’s game, the past social functionalism. In the space where cultural differences used to coexist, an ordinary game became a sociological experiment, based on observing today’s antagonisms. It was also possible to see, through the children’s eyes, the hidden reality of the Four Temples District.
