Golden Rubbish
Among many other functions, Polish parks are a shelter and ‘home’ for the homeless. Filip Laskowski made a reference to their usually invisible presence. His Golden Rubbish were items found in the S. Tołpa Park – most often bottles, cans or articles of clothing forgotten by somebody. They were painted gold and abandoned again, shining on the lawns and among trees like treasure. The meaning of this realisation consists in showing the importance of those seemingly worthless items in the eyes of people in extremely difficult life situation.
