Rhetorical Figures II

In Rhetorical Figures, Kozłowski confronts themes of rhetoric, irony, and vocabulary by extracting words from public discussions and the media, and recontextualizes them into text streamed on an LED display, too quickly to be read in full. The sign rips the text from its meaning, converting it instead into a mindless parade of “word-pictures.” By combining various information carriers, newspapers and neon boards, Kozłowski points to the noise of media transmission and connection of media with power and politics.
