Splitter

The object consists of multiple power splitter that make it possible to plug in more than one piece of electrical equipment. The Polish name złodziejka (“thief”) comes from a time when electricity meters where not commonly used, and electricity bills depended on the number of sockets at home.
A splitter is plugged into a splitter, which is plugged into another and another one… At a glance – not much work, but in practice it is more than you could expect. Multiplying capital, big potential, high hopes. The effect? Quite disappointing – the entire installation powers just one weak (25 W) light bulb.
The work is a metaphorical representation of dreams, investments and failures. It talks about putting in effort in combination with shady practices intended to save some money, which ends up a flop.
