Spirit Level

Each construction and building process is preceded by determining the level. In a gravitational environment, liquid is the perfect means of indicating whether a surface is horizontal: it is subject to all vibrations and once set in wave motion by those vibrations, in the end it stabilises itself.
The object titled Spirit Level consists of a vessel hung in a geometrical and solid construction that can be moved, swung and observed to see the physical process of determining the plane of the surface of the water.
The level, which is a basic tool used in all types of construction, here becomes an independent element – just like a fragment of the horizon captured within the construction’s module.
